GEORGE NEWS - The heartfelt journey of the passion of Christ will be celebrated this Easter with the production The old rugged cross at the Market Community Theatre.
Talented musicians and a vocalist will bring to life the profound story of Christ's journey during these trying times with music and drama. The old rugged cross will be showcased on Wednesday 27 March at 18:30.
Well-known Easter songs like O Divine Redeemer, Panis Angelicus, Were you there, Agnus Dei, Halleluja and more will be performed by the soprano Phyllis Goldblatt, tenor Voldi George, soprano Penny de Villiers and alto Elizabeth Forbes.
Penny de Villiers is also the presenter of the show. The vocalists will be accompanied by Joan Musto on piano and Jean Kotze on violin.
