GEORGE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - Ten-year-old Sebastian Hiemstra and 77-year-old Penny de Villiers, both performers in the Arts Theatre's latest show - Varieté! Varieté! - are evidence that talent in George is ageless.
According to the show's writer and producer, Carina Beukes, several youngsters and their parents joined on stage for the six months of rehearsals. The production was showcased at the theatre last week, ending on Sunday.
"We had families taking part - some of the kids were only seven years old," said Beukes.
With most shows fully booked, this variety show had the audience captivated for almost three hours of dancing, magic acts, singing, drama and acrobatic tricks.
