GEORGE NEWS - The SWD EaGirls showed no mercy to the Limpopo Blue Bulls in the Women's First Division on Saturday 27 July, beating them 69-5 and scoring a massive 11 tries at Greenhaven in Great Brak River.
The EaGirls completed the group stage without losing a match and are now preparing to take on the Pumas in the semi-finals, that will be played in Mossel Bay on Saturday 3 August.
According to the SWD Eagles general manager, Veda Manie, they hope to play the finals at home at Outeniqua Park in time to celebrate National Women's Day.
The head coach of the EaGirls, Elize Arendse, said their streak of six straight wins and no losses is not going to their heads and they remain focused.
"During training this week we'll focus on refining our gameplay. Our mentality going into the semi-finals is to show that we play rugby in a positive spirit, with respect and a lot of heart," said Arendse.
