GEORGE NEWS - Black belt karate instructor and karate school owner Samantha Williams (37) is very proud of all her students who passed their grades in December 2017.
Her career started at age five. She has always had a passion for the martial arts and is currently a third dan black belt.
In her long and distinguished career, she went to two world championships - in India (1997) and in Australia (2001)- and came second in her katas at both championships
A black belt student trained by Samantha came second in the world championships held in Canada in 2017.
Own school
In 2017 Samantha started her own karate school, Gojukai George. In one year the school grew from one student to 45 who vary in skills from white belt to black and ranging from age 4 to seniors.
It is a source of pride for her that all of her students did so well at their grading in Worcester last year. She is full of hope that, with registrations starting on 22 January, the new year with will see a growth that will make it sustainable to keep her doors open to serve the community of George.
