Well-known local cyclist at Absa Cape Epic

GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEOS - The 2022 Absa Cape Epic is kicking off tomorrow on Sunday 20 March, and all eyes from George will be on local women’s cycling marathon champion, Robyn de Groot, as she partners up with the French world renowned cycling champion, Pauline Ferrand-Prévot.

Ferrand-Prévot, who is arguably the world’s greatest cyclist with road, CX, XCO and XCM world titles to her name, has now set her sights on the Cape Epic and will be taking on the race with multiple SA Marathon champion, De Groot.

Ferrand-Prévot has in De Groot, the perfect partner from whom to learn some valuable Cape Epic experience.

The multiple SA XCM champion and four-time Cape Epic podium finisher possesses a wealth of knowledge and together they make a team who definitely has to be reckoned with.

De Groot was on the verge of retiring from pro MTB racing, when she received a call with an offer to race one last Cape Epic.
