GEORGE NEWS - The Outeniqua Wheelchair Challenge is taking place on Saturday 14 September. 

To accommodate this, certain roads will be closed:

• Knysna Road from Garden Route Mall up to CTM, into town, will be closed from 20:00 on Friday evening, 13 September, until 14:00 on Saturday 14 September. The alternative route is via Blue Mountain and then out at CTM. 

Traffic from town towards Knysna will not be affected.

• York Street from Plattner Boulevard up to PW Botha Boulevard will be closed from 06:00 till 10:00 on Saturday 14 September.

• Along Beach Road going into Pacaltsdorp over the N2, only the inside lanes will be closed. The same applies for the rest of York Street and Courtenay Street / Knysna Road, excluding, as mentioned under point 1, the road between CTM and the entrance to the Garden Route Mall.

• The turning points are as follows: for the 21,1km and 42,2km - Pacaltsdorp; for the 10km - the Dutch Reformed Mother Church; and for the 5km - Paddagat.
