GEORGE NEWS -The 2022 OCC has been concluded with a prizegiving.
Chief organiser Alewijn Dippenaar said it was an incredible day and a huge success.
"It's not everday that nature throws such challenges at you, with rain that is relentless, but we've seen today what team work can do. Everyone, the athletes included, worked together to say we will not let the rain push us down, whatever inconvenience it causes."
Zach Legward, gold medal winner in the 21km race in his division, thanking everyone for the opportunity to be able to compete. He warned the adult competitors to watch out, as he is catching up with them.
Adrian van der Merwe won gold in the 10km senior basket chair division.
Justine Asher is very happy with her gold in her division in the 42km race that she completed in just over 2 hours.
Stella Jongwe received gold in her division in the 42km event.
