GEORGE NEWS - The Jakkalberry 100-miler MTB race, to be held on 17 or 18 December (pending the lockdown regulations), is happy to announce Finovo Accounting and Financial Services as the anchor sponsor for this year’s race. 

Finovo, as a proud local accounting and financial service firm, has been doing business in George for the past 12 years. 

It has been a kind patron of the George Vryburgers charity organisation, catering for the needs of the lesser fortunate in the George and surrounding areas.

The gruelling inaugural Jakkalberry 100-miler MTB night race commences at the Jakkalsvlei Wine farm in Herbertsdale and winds its way across undulating scenic hills for 163km, ending at the Redberry Farm in George. 

The race takes place in aid of the “Kos vir Kinders”- programme, a George Vryburger initiative caring for local schoolchildren who need nourishing meals. The organisers aim to make this an annual event in the Garden Route.
