GEORGE NEWS - Nicole du Plessis, 10 year-old-rider from Olympia Estate Equestrian Club, made the Eden Schools Riding team proud with her achievement when she emerged as the primary schools Victrix Ludorum of the Western Cape at the Sanesa Schools Provincial Competition held in Stellenbosch.
She will now represent the Western Cape team in the National Schools Competition to be held at Kyalami in Johannesburg in October.
Nicole achieved these excellent results with the help of her ponies, Hat Swenk and Noontide. Nicole achieved 4 first places, 4 second places and 2 third places.
Her achievements in the competition include: Dressage Elementary A - 2nd; Dressage Elementary B - 3rd; Dressage Novice A - 1st; Dressage Novice B - 3rd; Equitation Level 3 - 2nd; In-hand Level 3 - 1st; Working Riding Level 3 - 4th; Working Riding Level 5 - 2nd; Performance Level 3 - 1st; Performance Level 7 - 1st; Competition - 2nd; Working Hunter Level 3 - 2nd.
