GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - On Friday 6 May, 19 Eden judoka from Jisei Judo Club, Mossel Bay and Eden Judo Development, took to the road again to attend the Cape Winelands Open on Saturday 7 May in Paarl. They were accompanied by coach Lilian Steyn, manager Jacqueline Boesak and Jonathan du Preez.
This was the last qualifying tournament for selection to the Senior Eden team who will attend the South African Open Tournament on 25 and 26 June in Gqeberha. Both the junior and senior judoka use these tournaments as preparation for the South African Open and South African Schools tournaments.
Eden can be proud of these judoka for their good behaviour and achievements on and off the mat.
We thank Franken VGK Primary School for the use of their Quantum for transport as well as individual donations to assist with costs of this tour. Without their assistance most of these judoka would not have been able to attend.
