GEORGE BOWLS NEWS - The second round of the ever popular John Dory's Mixed Trips competition was held at the George Bowling Club on 19 June.
The event was played in beautiful weather, which allowed for great games of bowls to be played.
The winners of the second round were the team of Okkie Steyn, Peter Barlow and Karen Gradwell, who defeated the team led by Alan Dissel.
The event is played over three Saturdays, one each month, and is sponsored by the local franchise of John Dory's. A total of 34 teams took part on Saturday. The last round will be played on Saturday 17 July when the overall winners will be crowned.
