Shakes Mashaba and the Mauritius coach Alain Happe lavished praise on Gift Motupa, after the Bafana Bafana midfielder helped his country beat the islanders 3-0 in the first leg of a qualifier for the 2016 African Nations Championship in Dobsonville on Saturday.
Motupa, who is said to have signed for Orlando Pirates ahead of the new season, did superbly in a central midfield role, and although the official man-of-the-match award went to double goalscorer Siphelele Ntshangase, Mashaba had other ideas.
