According to the statement, Swaziland Solidary Network (SSN) had appealed to the clubs to withdraw from the off-season soccer tournament, which the organisation labelled as a ‘political posturing’, but the Soweto giants said they would not be withdrawing.

“Swaziland Solidary Network (SSN) met with the chairmen of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates football clubs respectively to appeal to the clubs to withdraw from their forthcoming off-season soccer tournament in Swaziland.
“The SSN expressed their concern that the Swaziland government would use this tournament for ‘political posturing’.
