GEORGE NEWS - The spirited Celtics Football Club defeated France United FC 1-0 in a Promotional League fixture on Saturday afternoon, 6 July at the Lawaaikamp Stadium. The only goal of the game was netted by Yamnkela Poswayo of Celtics FC.
With 43 points, Celtics is currently sitting comfortably at the top of the table.
The Celtics boys have played 17 fixtures with 14 victories, one draw, and they have lost two games, while France United is battling for the top eight positions. Celtics FC player Yamnkela Poswayo gave a stellar performance steering the game and creating more chances for his side.
The Promotional/Development League log leaders Celtics FC started the game on the left side of the field - delivering a powerful strike straight to France United goalkeeper Zenande Xayimpi.
Celtics were looking very smart on the ball employing their pace to break through the France United defenders. They were all square in the first half with both teams failing to break the net.
