GEORGE NEWS - SWD Cricket hosted a very successful specialist camp on Saturday for fast bowlers and wicketkeepers for emerging and youth players, including both boys and girls in George.
The coaches involved were Piet Botha, the bowling coach of the Proteas red ball team, and Kruger van Wyk, the fielding coach of the Proteas test team.
Botha is a former coach of the Garden Route Badgers professional team and regarded as one of the best bowling coaches in the country. Van Wyk previously played international cricket as a wicketkeeper for New Zealand.
Cricket services manager at SWD Cricket, Gary Moos, expressed his satisfaction with the camp. "This was a fantastic platform with the best coaches in the business to upskill our players," he commented.
