GEORGE NEWS - Outeniqua High School was crowned the Coca Cola SWD Schools T20 champions when they defeated Langenhoven Gymnasium of Oudtshoorn by 21 runs in the final last Friday.
It is the first time since 2012 that Outeniqua has won this competition.Outeniqua, who batted first, posted 109/8 in their allotted 20 overs, whereafter they dismissed their opponents for 88 runs in the 18th over.
In the play-off for the third place, Bridgton Senior Secondary School (90/6) recorded a four-wicket victory against Point High School, who scored 89/9 in their 20 overs.
The play-off matches to determine the Western Cape winner who will advance to the CSA national finals will take place in Cape Town this weekend.
