ATHLETICS NEWS - Bestmed has terminated their sponsorship of the annual Eden Street Mile Series after three years.
The organiser of the Eden Street Mile Series, the Klein Karoo Athletics Fund (KKAF), attempted to encourage Bestmed to continue their association with the event but was unsuccessful.
Bestmed has decided to cut back and regroup its sponsorship budget and says the Eden Street Mile Series does not fit its marketing strategies.
The Eden Street Mile Series will be hosted again in 2019. According to the chairperson of KKAF, Hans van der Veen, efforts to secure a new anchor sponsor have started.
All changes will be announced on the KKAF website, www.edenmiles.co.za, and the social and printed media.
