GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEO - There was great excitement at Tabata Primary School in Thembalethu on Friday 14 March when the school welcomed a group of Canadian senior citizens at their premises.
The visitors were treated to a beautiful music and dance performance under the direction of choirmaster Nontsikelelo Morgan.
The visitors were touched by the special performance.

Tabata Primary headmistress Yvonne Dingiswayo, together with the school management members, gave a brief background of the school.
The visitors were then taken on a tour of the school, where they viewed the classrooms and the work done by the teachers. They also enjoyed interacting with the learners.
The tourists made some valuable donations to the school, including various stationery items, to help boost those learners who come from disadvantaged backgrounds.
On behalf of the school, Ntombizanele Sethosa, the deputy headmistress, said it was a pleasure to receive tourists from as far as Canada and expressed the hope that they will cultivate a lasting friendship.
The school is looking forward to the next visit from a Canadadian tour group, which is scheduled for 27 March.
