POLITICAL NEWS - The South African Federation of Trade Unions (Saftu) has announced that its members will picket at bus depots in solidarity with strikers who are demanding higher wages.
Saftu said it was calling on “all its members and all workers to demonstrate and picket” on Thursday at the bus depots of all the companies involved in the national strike, which is in its third week.
“They will be showing their solidarity with the strikers and demanding that the bus bosses meet the workers’ demands by Thursday,” said Patrick Craven, Saftu acting spokesperson.
