Workers will be back at their posts on Monday, however, classes remain will remain closed today and tomorrow.
Worker Trevor Shaku says management has met their demands in terms of wages and starting with a process of insourcing as soon as possible.
“The R5,000 that was promised to workers needs to be enforced so that the workers can receive what they were promised by the university. Obviously there is excitement as you can see among the workers, but we’ll remain vigilant because an agreement doesn’t necessarily mean implementation.”
