Police spokesperson, Captain Alwin Labans says two-year-old Katelyn Ruiters was killed just after seven o'clock Monday morning when she was hit in the chest by a stray bullet.
Labans says two men had opened fire on a 24-year-old man in Sagatarius Street in Barcelona, Helenvale.
In two other gang related shootings Monday morning, a 33 year-old man was pistol whipped by an unkown suspect who then fired shots at him in Martin Street, Gelvandale, grazing him in the back.
And in Leith Street, Gelvandale, a 29 year-old man was hit in the leg when shots were fired at the shack in which he was sleeping.
Meanwhile, police are continuing the hunt for the gunmen who killed two men this weekend.
Police said two wounded men were found in Kleinskool on Saturday morning. One died later in hospital.
