NATIONAL NEWS - The Water and Sanitation Department says the Western Cape has seen a slight improvement in dam levels; increasing from 27.3% to 28.2%.
This is due to heavy rainfall in the province last week.
However, the department says this isn’t enough, especially as the country moves from the rainy season to more dry conditions.
Spokesperson Sputnik Ratau says: “The rains did fall but the improve is only slight in the Western Cape, where you can see that moving from 27.3% to 28.2% is not much.”
Ratau says Gauteng is still doing well.
