Man dies trying to flee from attackers

NATIONAL NEWS - A man was stabbed and died while trying to escape his attackers in Jacksonville, Port Elizabeth, yesterday.

Pedro Perry, 26, was asleep with his girlfriend, 21, in the lounge of his Kanniedood Street home when four men entered through a window.

Police spokeswoman Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg said the men demanded money.

“Perry ran to the bedroom but the men followed. Perry was stabbed in the arm while being chased,” she said.

“Trying to flee, he jumped through the bedroom window and ran away.”
