NATIONAL NEWS - The Western Cape High Court has dismissed the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC)'s leave to appeal last year's ruling against Hlaudi Motsoeneng.
In December, the same court ruled Motsoeneng must be removed from his position as group executive for corporate affairs.
The case was brought by the Democratic Alliance.
The public broadcaster filed the application for leave to appeal last week.
The Western Cape High Court dismissed the move, saying there is no reasonable prospect that another court would reach a different conclusion on the issue.
The SABC’s acting CEO James Aguma also wanted to have an aspect of the ruling, stating he's personally responsible for all legal costs, dismissed, but this too was unsuccessful.
