NATIONAL NEWS - Eyewitness News has just received confirmation that all 10 South Africans arrested in China are coming home.
This week, Eyewitness News revealed that a group of people, including the South Africans, were detained on terror-related charges, which in turn have been described as ‘bizarre’.
Twenty people, including British and Indian nationals, were arrested in that country exactly a week ago.
There were also allegations that the group watched propaganda films in their hotel rooms and were accused of also having links to a terror group.
Their families and humanitarian organisation Gift of the Givers dismissed this, saying there had been a misunderstanding.
The tourists were apparently watching documentaries of Genghis Khan as part of their education to tour Inner Mongolia.
