GEORGE NEWS AND VIDEO - Western Cape Provincial traffic officers are currently conducting roadblock operations across the Southern Cape.
The operations started on Monday 21 May in Nelson Mandela Boulevard between Lawaaikamp and Parkdene.
According to Traffic Chief, Quinton Williams, the operations are aimed at restoring law and order on the roads by checking illegal drivers and unlicensed vehicles.
They are also clamping down on public transport vehicles such as taxis that are not illegal or roadworthy.
