NATIONAL NEWS - The Gauteng Education Department is visiting Hoerskool Pretoria West this morning, where pupils are boycotting classes and demanding to be allowed to wear skinny pants.
MEC Panyaza Lesufi says pupils have not followed the right procedure by lodging a formal complaint with the School Governing Body since they started protesting on Friday.
Lesufi says he feels let down and disappointed by the pupils.
“I’m taken aback, I don’t know why. My honest fear to that trend is something that may set precedent within the schooling environment, so I don’t anything that may set a wrong precedent within the schooling environment.
