The pair is being investigated for their alleged role in the leak of confidential information to a newspaper by de Lille’s researcher Josh Jordaan.
The leaked document, which was apparently doctored, relates to a DA investigation, which found August and a councilor flouted internal party procurement rules.
The party’s James Selfe says, “They were the three people that were mentioned in the article and so to the extent that they were mentioned, they’re the people who we’d start with in terms of any investigation.”
