Despite being spotted on a number of occasions this year wearing large amounts of camouflage, reports have claimed that the Corsa, which was expected to ride on a shortened version of the Astra's D2XX platform, will adopt PSA's new EMP1 architecture likely to underpin the next Peugeot 208, helping to cut some 100 kg off the current model's weight.
The interior will most likely mirror that of the Astra, with power coming from a range of PSA sourced petrol and diesel engines. An electric model could also join the range at some stage.
While the final design remains unknown, the renders sees the Corsa taking hints from the previously rendered Omega X SUV, with a similar roofline to that of the Adam and Crossland X. The actual profile meanwhile resembles that of the recently launched Citroen C3, while rear receives a new bumper with the bootlid and lights being carried over.
