GEORGE MOTORING NEWS - Thinus Nel Motors has changed hands. After 21 years at the helm of the dealership, Thinus Nel has decided it was time to say goodbye, but the dealership will continue under the same name.
The new team consists of Bles de Wet, Bakkes Muller and Pieter Nel in charge of sales and with 23 years' experience at Absa, Giepie Jordaan will look after finances.
With 43 years' experience in the vehicle industry there is nothing that Bles hasn't seen and handled. He and Pieter started working together 25 years ago in Worcester, while Bakkes is the previous owner of CBF Motors in Humansdorp.
It won't be all new faces though. Receptionist Christa Zaaiman, as well as the team who ensure all the vehicles are shiny and spotless, are staying on.
Bles undertakes to keep up the high standard synonymous with Thinus Nel Motors. He promises that the dealership will continue with the same vigour and love for vehicles and clients, and where there is room for improvement, they will leave no stone unturned.
The cleaning team do their job with pride, even going as far as to painstakingly clean every nook and cranny with a toothbrush.
Bles is excited about the new venture. "When I heard that Thinus Nel wanted to retire, my first thought was to ask him if I could continue with his business, knowing its good name and solid record," he says. "He maintained the same value system that we have believed in all our years in the vehicle industry. Our clients and client service are most important to us and we regard it as a people's game rather than a vehicle game."
Another reason why Bles wanted to carry on the Thinus Nel brand, is its impeccable record and he doesn't know of anybody who is unhappy with the business.
As the new Thinus Nel Motors, they undertake to always sell the best vehicles in all classes at the best prices. They will also gladly do trade-ins.
If you're in the market for a quality second-hand vehicle or have a vehicle to sell, look no further than Thinus Nel Motors for the best, people-focused service.
