Slated to debut after the A7, the S6, like its regular sibling, will adopt a revised version of the existing MLB platform said to be some 100 kg lighter, as well subtly enhanced styling, lower profile alloy wheels and as per the images, quad exhaust outlets.
The biggest change will however come up front where the 4.0 TFSI V8 will give way to the same 3.0 TFSI V6 used in the S5, reportedly with a tad more than the current 260 kW / 500 Nm of torque to compensate for the S6's added weight. A seven-speed S tronic gearbox will likely transmit power to all four wheels via Audi's trademark quattro all-wheel drive system.
