Restricted to just 300 units worldwide and fitted as the standard with the M Competition Package, the 30 Jahre's external gains includes forged matt Orbit Grey 20-inch star-spoke M alloy wheels, BMW Individual gloss Shadow Line trim around the grille, side vents and M4 badge, and a choice of two new colours; Mandarin II uni and Macao Blue Metallic.
Unique touches inside consists of full Merino leather trim designed to match the paint work, a choice of Black / Fjord Blue and Black / Silverstone two-tone colours on models finished in Macao Blue with contrasting stitching on the headrests and M floor mats or a black interior with yellow stitching on Mandarin II uni finished models.
Rounding the changes off are carbon fibre detailing, commemorative 30 Jahre Edition doorsills and headrests and special 1/300 numbering plaque.
No changes have however taken place up front where the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged straight-six again produces 331 kW and 550 Nm of torque. Fitted as standard are the M Sport exhaust, Adaptive M Sport suspension, sports tuned Dynamic Stability Control system and Active M differential.
