The interior is unique in its class with the gear lever and parking brake handle mounted in the centre console; a benefit of housing the two together is the opportunity to adopt connected front seats which are unique in the segment. The front seats provide extra comfort that supports the spinal column and boasts spacious interior for five occupants. On the exterior, the face of the car is dominated by Datsun’s distinctive D-cut grille.
Datsun GO offers fuel consumption of just 20kms per litre with its 1.2-litre engine, a unique Mobile Docking Station (MDS) that allows a driver to sync smartphones directly with the car. The MDS slots the smart phone into a holder in the centre of the dashboard which can be paired by an AUX cable to the car’s system and the car’s integrated door mounted loudspeakers.
The Datsun GO is expected to go on sale during the last quarter of 2014 at under R100 000.
