GEORGE NEWS - Young people from George aged between 18 and 27 who are interested in career training are invited to attend a group meeting of Atvance Academy at Lawaaikamp Community Hall at 13:30 today, Tuesday 18 May.
Atvance Academy offers free, accredited training for young people in this age group. Atvance is able to offer the tuition at no cost through sponsorships for students.
Courses include Business Administration, New Venture Creation, Wholesale and Retail Operations, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Practice, Project Support Services, Information Technology: Systems Support, and Contact Centre Support.
Successful students can earn a National or FET Certificate.
Admission requirement is a minimum of Grade 9 to enrol for a bridging course through which a learner can earn a matric certificate before moving on to one of the other courses.
Interested people must bring a certified copy of their ID and academic record of their last grade or certificate. Should you be unable to get them certified, write down your details clearly on a piece of paper, including your residential address.
