GEORGE NEWS - It is not only children who can run around and have the best time at the George Strawberry Festival presented by Ola.
Whether you come with friends from varsity, have a day out with a group of friends from all walks of life or are just young at heart, there will be something for everyone to enjoy on 21 and 22 September at Redberry Farm.
McDonald's Games Garden
Classic games such as Croquet, Boules, Giant Jenga, Berry Twister and target shooting will keep you and yours entertained for a while! Entry to the games garden is included in the festival entrance price, so you don't have any reason not to challenge your squad.
Redberry Farm Family Stage
How many strawberries can you devour in just three minutes? The Strawberry Festival's main event will have friends and family cheering you on as you take part in the Adult Strawberry Eat-Off competition.
If gulping down strawberries doesn't interest you, stomp enough strawberries together with your partner to fill three cups with strawberry juice and win great prizes.
Live entertainment and a refresher in the hand
The RSA Group Music Stage will have local artists entertain you with covers of popular songs and some singles throughout the weekend, while you enjoy a refreshing beverage from the SAB Beer Garden.
Rugby fans must make a note to be at the RSA Group Music Stage to watch the live match between the Rugby Champions Boks and New Zealand at 11:45 - remember to wear your green and gold!
The place to be for foodies
Food is the one element that brings people together.
At the Strawberry Festival, you can find unique food experiences that will not fail those grumbling tummies!
Choose your treat from the fare on offer at the many food stalls in the Outdoor Country Market, have a bite at one of the various strawberry-inspired eats and treats at the Strawberry Emporium, and make a mouth-watering stop at the Strawberry Food Theatre, where celebrity chef
François Ferreira prepares strawberry delicacy dishes, specially designed for the Strawberry Festival. You don't want to miss out!
For Redberry Farm favourites, you can stop at the artisanal eateries for a taste of paradise, have a slice of cake or delicious berry cocktail at the Red Shed Coffee & Bar or a delicious meal at the Redberry Farm Tea Garden.
