GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Wildlife lovers are invited to roll up their sleeves and join the Wildlife Crime Information Network (WCIN) on an anti-snare walk on Saturday 23 August to help remove wire snares threatening animals on private land near the Mossel Bay airport.
The walk will start at 08:00 from AV-8 Restaurant, Aalwyndal, and is expected to take about two to three hours.
Volunteers will work together to scour the area for snares and raise awareness about the devastating impact of snaring on local wildlife.
Coffee will be available at the restaurant before the walk, and those taking part can enjoy a hearty breakfast special afterwards (scrambled eggs, cheese griller, bacon, tomato, toast and coffee) for R70, which must be pre-booked.
Anyone interested in joining the walk, pre-booking breakfast, or requesting more information can WhatsApp or call 079 643 9556.
