GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued an Orange level 5 and Yellow level 2 warning for damaging winds valid for Sunday, 27 October.
"A Cut-off low is expected to result in westerly to north-westerly winds of 50 - 70 km/h while gusting 80 - 100 km/h over the Cape Winelands, Overberg, Garden Route and Central Karoo from Sunday afternoon into Monday morning (27 - 28 October)."
The warning further states that these winds will impact high-sided vehicles while also damaging settlements.
The winds are expected to moderate from the west from Monday afternoon.
