Update

GEORGE NEWS - George Fire Brigade, assisted by Garden Route Fire, is still actively battling an out-of-control veld fire in the Hansmoeskraal area which started yesterday. 

The fire is still out of control. 

Firefighters with all required resources are on the scene. 

The GRDM Fire and Rescue Services Unit has activated aerial support to assist with suppressing the Hansmoeskraal wildfire that is currently still out of control.

• Report veld fires to GRDM Emergency Call Centre 044 805 5071.

• George Municipal Fire and Disaster Services 044 801 6311 for fires only.
