GEORGE NEWS - Specialized Solar Systems recently had a request for help regarding the placing of a solar power system in a church founded by Pastor Selwyn Strydom of Agape Christian Ministries.

Strydom is the senior founding pastor of six churches in George, Hoekville, Knysna, Wittedrift, Humansdorp, Jeffrey's Bay and Saint Francis Bay. All the pastors of these churches are self-supporting, including Strydom himself.

"Having heard of the commitment that Strydom is making to this ministry, with a tremendous work load involved, I knew that a donation was well worthwhile," says Jonathan Hodgson, CEO of Specialized Solar Systems.

The church received the well-proven, off-grid SS20 DC Microgrid solar home system (SHS) and it was fitted to generate the necessary energy for the new extension at the latest church that Strydom is helping to build.
