GEORGE NEWS - Six suspects were arrested in the Conville precinct during a joint high density crime combatting operation led by Provincial Commissioner Lt-Gen Thembisile Patekile since last week.
On Thursday 1 September, 65 Mandrax tablets, 34 half Mandrax tablets, 92 bankies of tik, 298 dagga stoppe, four kilograms of dagga and 825 litres of liquor where confiscated from a premises in Conville.
Five suspects aged between 20 and 57 were arrested on charges relating to the possession of drugs, dealing in drugs and the illegal sale of liquor.
On Saturday evening, 3 September, the Garden Route District Crime Combatting Team raided a house in Bruce Street, Borcherds where they arrested a 56-year-old woman on a charge of selling liquor without a licence. Police confiscated 197,5 litres of liquor during the operation.
All arrested during these operations remain in custody. They are expected to make their first court appearances later today, Monday 5 September.
