GEORGE NEWS - To create awareness of the scourge of women abuse, upcoming local DJ, Sir Obz (33), hosted a Valentine's Day extravaganza on Sunday afternoon, 13 February.
The event was held at Emcimbini in Thembalethu, a popular weekend venue. The Valentine's Sunday was held to honour all women in South Africa who lost their lives at the hands of their loved ones.
Sir Obz roped in the help of three beautiful ladies, Busisiwe Plaatjie, Nqabakazi Datini and Uzile Kolele, to share their views on the topic of gender-based violence.
The main purpose of the event was to unite Thembalethu people in the fight against human abuse and to highlight that females must be treated with respect.
The Valentine's Day extravaganza will be an annual event where women get the opportunity to voice the issues that they experience in their daily lives.
The other DJs who shared the stage on Sunday afternoon were DJ Naipo, DJ Mbui, DJ Sakhi, DJ Risky and International DJ.
