GEORGE NEWS - The George Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit urgently seeks the assistance of the public to find two wanted Thembalethu rape suspects.
The first suspect, who has been identified as Siphenathi Ntlantsana, is wanted in connection for a rape that occurred on 24 October 2015 in Asazani, Thembalethu.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Capt Malcolm Pojie, the victim was walking from one tavern to another with friends when she was grabbed by the suspect. He dragged her to his place of residence where he allegedly assaulted and raped her. The victim’s friend called for help and alerted police. The suspect, Ntlantsana, has since evaded arrest.
The FCS is also looking for information about Sizekile Nkolose, a suspect for whom a warrant of arrest was issued on 4 March 2019, after he failed to appear in court in connection with a rape that occurred in Plettenberg Bay during December 2018.
According to Pojie, Nkolose appeared in the Plettenberg Bay Magistrate’s Court on 27 December 2018 in connection with the rape of the 31-year-old victim at her residence in Phase 4 in Kwanokuthula, Plettenberg Bay. He has not been seen since.
“We appeal to anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspects to please contact the investigation officer, Sgt Emmerencia Booysin at the George FCS on 044 803 4618 / 074 620 1433 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111. All information will be dealt with confidentially,” said Pojie.
