GEORGE NEWS - Following a highly successful Battle of the Brands golf day, R200 000 was raised to support local charities and welfare organisations.
The event, hosted by Tekkie Town, brought together various brands and community members for a day of friendly competition and networking.
The Hoekwil Community Dialogue received R30 000 to help them build an outdoor gym, promoting health and fitness in the community.
The Seven Passes Initiative, which focuses on rural youth development projects, was awarded R50 000 to support their ongoing efforts in empowering young people.
Life Community Services, an organisation dedicated to working with orphaned and vulnerable children, received a substantial donation of R120 000, which will significantly aid their programmes and services.
