REGIONAL NEWS - It was a proud moment at the Southern Cape Police area office on Monday 9 December when more than 20 police officers were promoted and received their epaulettes during a short ceremony.
Garden Route District Commissioner, Major General Phumzile Cetyana, congratulated all newly promoted officers at a special gathering hosted at his office.

The members who have been promoted from Sergeant to Warrant Officer, Warrant Officer to Captain and Captain to Colonel were conferred with their ranks at a parade in Belhar, Cape Town, on Wednesday 4 December.
The Western Cape Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General (Adv) Thembisile Patekile, officiated the parade while giving marching orders to walk tall and make a difference in their respective environments.
