GEORGE NEWS - The political party, Bosa, and the Small Business Alliance will stage a picket outside the George Municipality this morning, 3 March, to demand fair treatment and greater economic inclusion for small businesses and local communities.
The demonstration will take place on York Street at 10:30, when speakers will address the crowd before handing over a memorandum to the mayor and municipal manager.
This morning, Bosa’s acting spokesperson, Roger Solomons, said the group is frustrated with what they describe as the municipality’s anti-SMME policies. “Instead of supporting small businesses to grow and create jobs, the municipality has become an obstacle to their success,” he stated.
The memorandum will outline key concerns and demands aimed at improving conditions for small businesses in George.
