GEORGE NEWS - The ER24 team in George recently welcomed new branch manager, Charl Pretorius (46), to their team. Pretorius joined the team in red and blue on 1 October and says he looks forward to working with the Southern Cape team.
"I'm very excited about this opportunity. I never realised how beautiful the area is and I'm looking forward to working with this outstanding team here in George," he said.
Pretorius and his fiance, Chereze Besser, made the big move from Klerksdorp to George at the end of September.
Before he moved to the Garden Route, Pretorius was branch manager at a private ambulance service. He has also worked as a fireman.
"After the army, where I was an ops medic, I joined the fire department for 10 years after which I joined a private ambulance service. I've been actively involved in EMS services for more than 25 years now and can see myself retiring in George," Pretorius said.
