GEORGE NEWS - Nedbank Running Club runners, together with their extended family and circle of friends, enjoyed a lovely Christmas run during their final time trials for the year last night, Thursday 7 December.
Participants came dressed in bright red Christmas paraphernalia such as Christmas hats, reindeer ornaments and even tutus, to join in the festive mood.
The get-together sported goody bags, lucky draws and an overall joyous spirit among all present.
Everyone met at the temporary starting point behind Outeniqua Park. Some were up to the 5km run in the scorching heat of the day. Others went on a stroll for the shorter 3km distance.

"Boy, did we have fun!" said Avril Davids, one of the members on the club's management. "We ended the year on a high note. A cool breeze helped to break the heat of the day. It was just perfect."
Some of the athletes received special recognition for their performance over the year.
