GEORGE NEWS - A pedestrian (53) who was standing next to the N2 this morning, was hit and killed by a VW Polo driving in the direction of Wilderness.
The accident happened on the side of the N2 that goes towards Wilderness, near the Garden Route Mall at approximately 09:00 this morning.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Sgt Chris Spies, the Polo, which was travelling to Gqeberha, left the road and hit the man who was standing next to the road.
He sustained multiple injuries and was declared dead by paramedics on scene.
The cause of the accident is yet to be confirmed.
