GEORGE NEWS - An official AGM will be held to select a neighbourhood watch structure for George South on Wednesday 4 December.
During this meeting, the following positions will be voted in:
- Chairman
- Vice Chairman
- Operations Manager
- Secretary
- Treasurer
The Community Police Forum (CPF) will be present to record the proceedings formally.
The meeting will start at 18:00 for 18:30 at the Dutch Reformed Church in George South.
A neighborhood watch (NHW) is fully dedicated to combating crime and serving the residents, without aligning with any political party. The NHW will remain "A" political (politically neutral ) and will only prioritise the safety and well-being of the community.
The following individuals are not eligible for official board membership:
- Anyone with ties to a political party or political agenda.
- Members of the South African Police Service (SAPS)
- Security guards employed by any security company.
