GEORGE NEWS - In 2018 the George branch of Investec Private Bank became involved with the Seven Passes Initiative through their annual golf day. Vince Vermaak was so touched by what he witnessed that he soon brought the area managers for a visit to Seven Passes.
The financial support given by Investec enabled Seven Passes to redo the kitchen of the organisation and build a jungle gym for the children.
The Port Elizabeth branch of Investec, that won an internal competition in the company, donated all of their winnings to Seven Passes Initiative so that food, cool drinks, sweets and other much-needed supplies could be bought for the children. The staff members individually also donated secondhand clothes and toys.
Chantal Damons, aftercare and food manager of Seven Passes, was elated by this gesture. "The much-needed donation from Investec is greatly appreciated but the donation from staff members really touched our hearts. The Seven Passes Initiative would like to deeply thank Investec for their generous support."
